General Information

Applicants must first obtain and fill the International Students¡¯ Application Form and submit it with all necessary documents. Application Forms can be obtained from the International Students Office of Northeast Normal University. Online versions of the Application forms are also available from the university website at http://iso.nenu.edu.cn. The application must be accompanied by a non-refundable application fee.

  Short term language students

  Long term language students
    1. A completed Application Form
    2. Documentation of Academic Credentials (Certificate)
  General advanced students
    1. A completed Application Form
    2. Proof of current enrollment at a university
    3. HSK Certificate or Certificate of Chinese Study
    4. Plan of study
  Senior advanced students
    1. A completed Application Form
    2. Certificate of Bachelor Degree and transcript
    3. HSK Certificate (Band 5 or above)
    4. Letters of recommendation from 2 associate professors
    5. Plan of study
    6. A photocopy of awards related to student¡¯s field of study
  Research scholars
    1. A completed Application Form
    2. Photocopy of Master¡¯s Degree and transcript
    3. HSK Certificate Band 6 or above
    4. Letters of recommendation from 2 professors
    5. Plan of study
    6. A photocopy of awards related to student¡¯s field of study
  Undergraduates
    1. A completed Application Form
    2. Photocopy of High School Diploma and transcript
    3. HSK Certificate Band 5 or above (not needed for Modern Chinese Major)
  Postgraduates

    4. Letters of recommendation from 2 associate professors
    5. Plan of study

  Ph.D. students

NOTE: The school reserves the right to deny applicants who do not adequately complete the application or who do not pay the application fee. Academic session starts in September each year.
