Recently, the Training Project of "Principal National Training Program" of Ministry of Education for rural principals in remote and poverty-stricken areas in 2018 has started in NENU and training classes 1 and 2 have opened in succession. 100 rural principals from remote and poverty-stricken areas in 19 provinces and cities across the country participated in the seminar.
In order to effectively improve the overall quality and school-running ability of rural school principals in remote and poverty-stricken areas, implement the precise poverty alleviation strategy, intensify poverty alleviation through education, and promote the balanced development of compulsory education, the Ministry of Education has started and implemented a national training project for rural school principals since 2013, which is called "Rural School Principals Promoting Project" to train all localities. A number of leaders have been brought up to implement quality education and promote the reform and development of rural compulsory education. NENU has been authorized to undertake this project since 2013, and the quality of training has been well received by the State Training Office of the Ministry of Education and the trainees.
