Recently, Dong Tongqang, a Japanese major undergraduate of the School of Foreign Languages of NENU, won the second prize for Japanese-Chinese translation of the undergraduate group in the national final of the second "People's China Cup" Japanese International Translation Competition, and associate professor Tai Wenhui, the assistant instructor, won the excellent instructor prize.
The "People's China Cup" Japanese International Translation Competition is co-sponsored by the Foreign Language Bureau of China, the People's China Magazine and the Japanese Language Instruction Committee of the Ministry of Education. It is co-sponsored by Guangdong Translation Association and Guangzhou Lianpu Translation Co., Ltd. in order to further strengthen cultural exchanges between China and Japan and promote the development of translation.
Nearly 3000 competitors from more than 600 universities and enterprises in China and Japan participated in the competition. There is the first prize, the second prize, the third prize and the excellent prize in the competition. Among them, the teachers who instructed the first, second and third prize winners are awarded the instructor prizes. The award ceremony was held in the auditorium of the Foreign Affairs Bureau of China on August 25.
