From November 11 to 15, the 2019 National Music Education Professional Teacher's Basic Skills Exhibition hosted by the Ministry of Education and sponsored by NENU, and co-organized by the Art Education Committee of the Ministry of Education and China Art Education Promotion Association was held in School of Music of NENU. 175 teachers from 69 universities and colleges of 30 provinces (districts, cities) and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps participated in the five-day exhibition.
Liu Mianmian from School of Music of NENU won the first prize of "teaching method group individual all-around" and "teaching method group teaching display single prize"; Mr. Zhang Kuo won the second prize of "theory composition group individual all-around" and "theory composition group teaching display single prize"; Mr. Xie Huan won the first prize of "skill group individual all-around", "skill group professional display single prize" and "skill group teaching display single prize". 23 universities and colleges including NENU won the excellent organization awards.
The basic skill display of music education teachers in colleges and universities is a new activity launched by the Ministry of Education on the basis of summing up the successful experience of the basic skill display of ten rounds for the music education undergraduate students. It will be held every two years, and this is the first time. This exhibition activity played a positive role in the reform and development of art normal education in the new era, which is beneficial to improving the quality of music education professional teachers in colleges and universities, and in comprehensively improving the quality of music education personnel training.
