On April 13, the drill on epidemic prevention and control and emergency response of students returning to campus was launched under the guidance of the university epidemic prevention and control leading group. The event was jointly organized by the university office, the Student Work Department of the Party Committee of NENU, Department of Teaching Affairs, Graduate School, Security Department, International Cooperation and Exchange Department, Logistics Management Department, League Committee of NENU, School Hospital and other departments as part of the effort to ensure that our university can do a scientific and efficient job for students to return to campus during the epidemic. Ma Xiaoyan, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of NENU and Vice President of NENU, Chang Qing,Vice President of NENU, Xue Lifeng, assistant of the President, and leaders from relevant departments, deputy secretaries of all schools, some counselors, and student representatives participated in the drill.
The drill simulated the scenes of students entering the campus, dormitory daily health monitoring, isolation and resettlement, cafeteria dining, entering and leaving the teaching building at different time, etc., involving all aspects of students’ eating, living, studying and medical care. According to the possible different conditions of students, detailed emergency operation steps are designed to make the emergency handling process clearer and more standardized.
After the drill, Ma Xiaoyan presided over the meeting of the university epidemic prevention and control leading group. At the meeting, she emphasized that nothing can be ignored during the epidemic, and the drill is like a real battle. There are still new situations and problems in the development of the epidemic in the world and in China as well. The epidemic prevention work cannot slacken. She asked everyone to combine the actual needs of teachers and students to further discuss, refine and improve the emergency plan for epidemic prevention and control in university, so as to make sufficient preparation and guarantee for the safe return of each teacher and student. Other participants put forward suggestions for feasibility improvement on the practical problems in the drill process, carefully sorted out the deficiencies in the drill, and exchanged ideas on the research and judgment of related work after the start of the university.
