On March 24, the Teacher Work Department of the Ministry of Education organized national primary and secondary school principals, members of kindergarten principals training experts working group, and members of national primary and secondary school teachers training experts working group to hold a video conference on the organization and implementation of the “2020 National Training Plan”. The principals from the Kindergarten Director Training Center of NENU attended the meeting.
At the meeting, Song Lei, deputy director of the Teacher Work Department of the Ministry of Education, explained the spirit and overall requirements of the “Notice of the General Office of the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance on Organizing and Implementing the 2020 National Training Plan for Primary, Secondary School and Kindergarten Teachers”. Wang Kejie, deputy director of the Teacher Development Department, deployed specific work requirements for the “2020 National Training Plan”. As one of the six national speakers, the director of NENU Kindergarten Director Training Center, Jiao Runkai exchanged and shared the implementation plan of the “National Training Plan” for kindergarten teachers’ national training projects. He also put forward implementation suggestions on paying attention to the construction of teachers’ ethics, standardizing hierarchical and classified training, strengthening visual guidance and communication, and strengthening training informatization.
Since outbreak of the epidemic, the principals of NENU Kindergarten Director Training Center have participated in three video conferences organized by the Teacher Work Department of the Ministry of Education, including “How to Do a Good Job in Online Training”, “The Implementation of Education Poverty Alleviation in Nujiang Prefecture in 2020” and “The Implementation Suggestions for National Projects in 2020”, and all principals were selected as representatives to speak.
At the same time, Kindergarten Director Training Center actively implemented the spirit and tasks of the meeting. On February 18, Ren Youqun, the director of the Teacher's Work Department, proposed in a video conference that information collection and research should be strengthened during the epidemic to provide reference for relevant decisions; we must actively voice and highlight the role of national platforms. After the meeting, the Kindergarten Director Center immediately held a video conference to arrange tasks and actively carried out related research. On March 8, the Kindergarten Director Center published an article “Exploring a New Mode of Online Kindergarten Work” in “China Education News”. On the basis of a questionnaire survey for more than 2,000 private kindergartens across the country, “Survey on the Survival Status of Inclusive Private Kindergartens under the Epidemic Situation” and “Reflections on the Improvement of Teachers’ Informational Teaching Ability in Kindergartens” have been received and published by “China Education News” and “Educators” respectively. The teachers of the Center also conducted research on the status of online education of kindergartens during the epidemic and the professional development of kindergarten teachers, and successively formed relevant achievements. In order to guide the development of family education during the epidemic, the Kindergarten Director Center and the Education Department jointly launched the “Parental School during the Epidemic Fighting Period” to convey the concept of scientific parenting ideas.
In the future, the Director Center will carry out further work through the construction of the Directors Training Network Course Platform and Resources, assistance of the “three districts and three states” in education poverty alleviation, and exploration of online and offline mixed training models. The Center will also response to the exploration of promoting integration of pre-service and post-service teacher education, highlight the characteristics of Northeast Normal University serving basic education and contributes to the creation of a world-class normal university.
