Recently, the Department of Education of Jilin Province issued the “Notice of the Department of Education of Jilin Province on the Establishment of the Online Teaching Steering Committee for General Undergraduate Universities”. A total of 4 teachers in NENU were selected into the online teaching steering committee, including one deputy director, one secretary-general and two committee members. Among the four selected teachers, one of them is the leader of the quality monitoring and evaluation working group of the online teaching steering committee, and another two teachers are the members of the quality monitoring and evaluation working group.
The Online Teaching Steering Committee is an expert organization hired and led by the Department of Education of Jilin Province with the nature of a non-standing academic institution. It is commissioned by the Provincial Department of Education to carry out research, consultation, guidance, evaluation, and service of online teaching in colleges and universities. The committee aims to ensure the smooth development of online teaching work in colleges and universities during the prevention and control of the COVID-19 epidemic, promote the in-depth integration of information technology and education and teaching, deepen the comprehensive reform of higher education, and give full play to the research, consultation, and guidance of experts and scholars on online teaching of higher education, and vigorously improve the quality of talent training.
