Recently, in the first National Teaching Competition “A Wonderful Lesson” in Compiling Unified History Textbooks and a high-end forum for research on history textbooks, two 2018 undergraduates selected by the School of History and Culture of NENU competed with 82 contestants from 41 key normal universities, including those affiliated to the Ministry of Education and provincial education departments. They performed well and all won awards. Among them, Wang Xu won the first prize and Chen Hai'e the third prize. Zhou Gonggu and Zhang Zhuohong won the Excellent Instructor Award.
This competition is sponsored by the Ministry of Education’s Primary and Secondary School (Secondary Vocational) National Key Research Base for the Construction of History Textbook, formerly known as the National Universities Teaching Skills Competition for Undergraduates Majored in History, which has been held for seven times. The School of History and Culture attaches great importance to the training of undergraduate teachers’ professional quality and vocational ability. The 21 contestants selected have all won prizes in these seven competitions that have been held, and have won a total of 13 first prizes, 6 second prizes, and three 2 prizes.
