Recently, Journal of Coordination Chemistry, the famous international chemistry journal, published a commemorative special issue in deep memory of Mr. Wang Enbo for his outstanding contributions to the field of polyoxometalates and coordination chemistry.
Organized and compiled by Professor Jim D Atwood, editor-in-chief of Journal of Coordination Chemistry, with the assistance of Professor Sun Weiyin of Nanjing University, Professor Li Yangguang and Professor Chen Weilin of NENU, the special issue invited Mr. Wang Enbo’s colleagues and students at home and abroad to publish the latest scientific research findings in the field focusing on polyoxometalates. The fruits were curated into the journal Special Issue: Enbo Wang Memorial Tribute Issues to express the deep memory of Mr. Wang Enbo.
Journal of Coordination Chemistry mainly reports the original research results of coordination compounds, involving the synthesis, structure, physical and chemical properties, reaction kinetics and mechanism of coordination compounds. Since 2006, Professor Wang Enbo of NENU had been invited to sit as the first Chinese member in the editorial board of Journal of Coordination Chemistry. With the joint efforts of Professor Wang Enbo and Jim’s team, as well as other editorial board members, experts, authors, and readers, the number and quality of articles of the journal have been increasing year by year. The research conducted by Professor Wang Enbo’s team in the field of inorganic chemistry and coordination chemistry, especially polyoxometalates has made important contributions to the development of Journal of Coordination Chemistry. The publication of this commemorative special issue fully proves that Mr. Wang Enbo has a high international influence in the field of chemistry. It also proves that under the leadership of Mr. Wang Enbo, the research of inorganic chemistry and coordination chemistry of NENU, especially the research of polyoxometalates, have received recognition from international peers. The scientific research spirit of Mr. Wang Enbo will always inspire us to move forward.
