The delegation of Springer Nature Group visited NENU on July 28, during the 19th International Conference on Luminescence (ICL2020), and Yichun Liu, President of NENU met them. Moreover, Yunlong Zou, Director of Office of Informatization Management and Planning and Head of Library, Guangshan Zhu, Dean of Faculty of Chemistry, Jiangang Ma, Dean of School of Physics, E Bai, Dean of School of Geographical Sciences, Min Song, Deputy Director of Science & Technology Department, Rong Xing, Director of Admission Office of Graduate School and relevant personnel also attended the meeting.
First, on behalf of NENU, Yichun Liu extended a warm welcome to the delegation of Springer Nature Group in the meeting. He expressed that journals published by Nature occupy a prominent position among many scientific researchers, with strong readability and widespread influence. He hoped that extensive spread of scientific research achievements of NENU can be further promoted through communication and cooperation with Springer Nature Group. Next, Yichun Liu introduced history, scale, “double first-class” construction, international exchange, etc. of NENU.
Qing Zhou, Sales Director in China of Springer Nature Group, highly congratulated NENU on undertaking and successfully holding ICL2020 first, and expressed gratitude to leaders of all sectors of NENU for taking the time out of their busy schedule to arrange the meeting. He reviewed the construction progress of Springer Nature Group, and introduced the basic condition of traditional journals and open access journals published by the group as well as the writing characteristics of Nature series articles. He said, NENU is one of high-quality customers of Springer Nature Group, and both sides have a great pre- cooperation basis. He wished that this communication could increase mutual understanding, and play a positive role in academic output and discipline development of NENU.
Hongtao Sun, Scientific Research Service Specialist, Rong Ju, Data & Analysis Specialist, and Lingyan Zhang, Associate Editor of Physics Books, all working in Greater China, Springer Nature Group, conducted academic publishing reports, with “Practical Application of Nature Index on Institutional Ranking and scientific evaluation”, “Sharing of Springer Nature Data Base Scientific Research Application Cases”, and “Introduction of Publication of Springer Nature Academic Books” as the title, respectively. Both sides fully communicated and discussed in terms of report contents.
