On September 26th, NENU’s “Research and Innovation Class” Forum (Autumn Semester of 2022) and the new form of teaching in Chinese, Mathematics and English under the concept of new curriculum standard were successfully convened. This activity was jointly organized by the Teacher Education Research Institute of NENUand the Shenzhen Research Institute, and was supported by the Chinese Foundationfor Teacher Development and the “Collaborative Quality Improvement Program for Primary and Secondary School Teachers”. Song Jiale, Secretary General of ChineseFoundation for Teacher Development, and Chang Qing, Vice President of NENU, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches respectively. The opening ceremony was presided over by Li Guang, Executive Dean of the Teacher Education Research Institute of NENU.
Song Jiale pointed out that the Chinese Foundation for Teacher Development adheres to the tenet of “showing respect to teachers and attaching great importance to education, rewarding and assisting teachers to promote teachers’ development”, and takes the construction of the teaching staff as the basic work, and regards “enhancingthe quality of teachers, improving the treatment of teachers, caring for teachers’ health, and protecting the rights and interests of teachers” as the mission to carry out public welfare activities. Under the guidance of the Department of Teacher Work of the Ministry of Education, the Chinese Foundation for Teacher Development and the Dali Education Public Welfare Center jointly launched the “Collaborative Quality Improvement Program for Primary and Secondary School Teachers”, which is committed to building an open and non-profit mutual learning platform for teachers. He expressed his thanks to NENU for supporting and participating in the implementation of the “Collaborative Quality Improvement Program for Primary and Secondary School Teachers” and for exploring new forms of teaching under the concept of new curriculum, which has important theoretical and practical significance for helping front-line teachers understand the concept of new curriculum standards and implement new curriculum teaching.
Chang Qing said that NENU had always adhered to the school-runningcharacteristics of “serving the basic education”, constantly and actively adapting to the new requirements of educational modernization for the development of teacher education, and providing demonstration and leadership for the reform and innovation of teacher education and basic education in our country. A high-quality compulsory education system is the basic content of a high-quality education system, and curriculum reform is an important means to implement the high-quality development of compulsory education. The autumn semester of 2022 is a key node for the full implementation of the new curriculum standards. By holding a series of NENU’s“Research and Innovation Class” forums, we focus on the interpretation of the new concept of curriculum standard, theoretical construction and practical exploration, and further clarify the new content, new direction, and new logic of the development of class teaching, and contribute to the high-quality development of education in our country.
In the end, Li Guang said in his concluding remarks that the Teacher Education Research Institute of NENU has launched two series of activities for the interpretation and implementation of the “Compulsory Education Curriculum Standards (2022 Edition)” by experts in all disciplines, which have received good social response and praise from front-line teachers. This semester, the Teacher Education Research Institute is launching a series of activities of NENU’s “Research and Innovation Class” forum, and will also launch two series of activities of class teaching of“Teaching Case Interpretation by Experienced Teacher” and “Compulsory Education Curriculum Standards (2022 Edition)” of NENU. The Teacher Education Research Institute will strengthen the comprehensive cooperation with the Chinese Foundationfor Teacher Development, and deeply promote the implementation of the “Collaborative Quality Improvement Program of Normal Education”, continue to contribute to the high-quality development of our country’s education, and make more contributions to accelerating the modernization of our country’s basic education.
The content of this event will be launched continuously from late September to late October. A total of three special disciplinary meetings will be set up, Chinese, mathematics and English. The first-line experienced teachers in the field of basic education in our country are invited to demonstrate the new model of class teaching, and well-known experts in the field of teacher education are invited to share their fresh achievements in teaching and scientific research, and outstanding students in normal colleges and universities are invited to show new styles of practical teaching.
