In order to deeply study the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the CPC and implement NENU’s work deployment on the high-quality development of philosophy and social sciences, Conservatory of Music organized a simultaneous online and offline seminar on the high-quality development of philosophy and social sciences on November 2. Han Dongyu, Vice President of NENU, Bai Bing, Director of Social Science Department, members of the leadership team of Conservatory of Music, members of the professor committee, academic leaders, heads of scientific research institutions, directors of various departments and representatives of young teachers attended the seminar. The seminar focused on how to solidly promote the construction of the three major systems of “discipline system, academic system, and discourse system” in the philosophy and social sciences of the Conservatory of Music, and to accelerate the improvement of the construction of knowledge systems and the ability of colleges and universities to provide consulting services. Sun Huijia, Deputy Dean of Conservatory of Music, presided over the meeting.
Han Dongyu fully affirmed the report of this seminar and the pioneering contributions and achievements made by Conservatory of Music in the field of music and dance. He pointed out that the report of the 20th National Congress of the CPC planned for the first time the three strategies of education, science and technology, and talents. Interdisciplinary integration will further enhance the comprehensive strength of music and dance disciplines; at the same time, it is necessary to respect the development laws of music and dance disciplines, establish classification evaluation standards, explore an organized scientific research system suitable for the development of music and dance disciplines, and retain music and dance professionals to the greatest extent possible.
