Recently, a series of research achievements of “Application of Ginseng and Its Enzymatic Hydrolysates in the Field of Skin Care, Beauty and Health Maintenance” developed by the Engineering Research Center of Glycoconjugates of the Ministry of Education of NENU have been made available for application in Changchun. The results are licensed to Lanke Medical Beauty Science and Technology (Jilin) Co., Ltd. for exclusive implementation by way of technology transfer, with a technology transfer fee of 10 million yuan. The glycobiology research team of NENU creatively adopted the combined enzymolysis technology to convert more than 80% sugar substances in ginseng into soluble active ingredients, and then prepared various functional ingredients through the separation and combination of multi-stage membrane, which may be used in skin care, beauty care, health care and other products, thus realizing the in-depth development of ginseng enzymolysis products in the fields of skin care, beauty care and health care. The successful transfer of this achievement is another important measure for our school to implement the innovation-driven development strategy and help build Changchun into a city with scientific and technologicalinnovation.
Since the beginning of this year, the Department of Science and Technology has overcome many adverse effects brought by the epidemic, adhered to the scientific research direction facing the world’s scientific and technological frontier, the main battlefield of the economy, the major needs of the country, and people’s life and health, and deeply promoted the integration and collaborative innovation of “government-industry-learning-research-application”. It should give play to the role of policy guidance, set up a fund for transforming and cultivating scientific and technological achievements based on the basic scientific research business expenses of colleges and universities, and carry out industrial technology research and development oriented by the market, and conduct in-depth investigation and visits of enterprises, carry out school-enterprise precise docking, organize a series of scientific and technological achievements promotion activities such as Northeast Normal University-Shenzhen Biomedical Industry Online Matchmaking Conference, Northeast Normal University-Changchun Special Scientific and Technological Achievements Promotion Conference, and constantly promote the transformation of scientific and technological achievements with school advantages and characteristics.
More than ten teachers are on the research team, including Zhou Yifa, Tai Guihua, Sun Lin, Cheng Hairong, Fan Yuying, Cui Sisi, Yuan Ye, Ji Li, Zhang Mengshan, Song Chengcheng, Cui Liangnan, Chen Lei and Zhao Zihan, as well as nearly 20 doctoral and master students from the glycobiology research team of NENU. Relying on scientific research platforms such as Engineering Research Center of Ministry of Education, Jilin Province Animal and Plant Active Ingredients Extraction Pilot Center, the team has long adhered to the combination of theory and practice, aiming at social needs and facing human health for the purpose of serving local economy, and formed a systematic research chain combining theoretical research with practical application, which has achieved remarkable results in theoretical and applied research of medicinal plants and edible fungi polysaccharides in Changbai Mountain. The team has successively published more than 150 research papers in PNAS and other international first-class journals, undertaken more than 50 projects entrusted by the state, provincial and ministerial level and enterprises, received more than 30 million yuan of funds, and carried out 5 technology transfers with a transfer fee of 15 million yuan, which added more than 200 million yuan of output value for enterprises.
