Recently, the Jilin Province Graduate Student Academic Forum “Light & Future” new material academic sub-forum was successfully held online. This forum is a part of the activities of 2022 National Science and Technology (Changchun), hosted by Jilin Science and Technology Association, and co-organized by Jilin Lighting Society and the School of Physics of NENU. Professor Qin Chunsheng, Deputy Dean of the Graduate School of NENU, and Professor Ma Jiangang, Dean of the School of Physics, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches, Mr. Chen Chengzhang, Vice President and Secretary-General of Jilin Lighting Society, was specially invited to attend, and Professor Zhang Xintong of the School of Physics presided over the meeting.
With the theme of light and the future, the forum set up six themes of rare earthluminescence, semiconductor luminescence, optical detection technology, photovoltaic and photoelectric detection, and photocatalysis for essay discussion, attracting a total of 56 PhD and master’s degree students (2 foreign students) from 13 universities and research institutes to share their latest research results in their respective fields online, with a total of more than 300 participants. Guided by challenging frontier issues, the reporter focused on the key scientific issues of the “14th Five-Year Plan” of the country and Jilin Province, and made distinctive and wonderful reports on many frontiers and applications such as full-spectrum health lighting, 8K high-definition display, fluorescence sensing and anti-counterfeiting, plant lighting growth, early detection of cancer, electrochemiluminescence detection, artificial vision devices, optical storage, photovoltaic devices, etc. 10 judges from 6 universities and research institutes exchanged and discussed with the students. The forum enjoyed a warm atmosphere, and the comments were profound and exciting, which fully demonstrated the style and scientific research level of graduate students in the new era.
The purpose of this forum is to broaden the academic vision of graduate students, stimulate their innovative thinking, ignite their enthusiasm for scientific research through academic discussions, and continuously improve their innovation ability, which has played an important supporting role in postgraduate training, scientific and technological development and innovation. This forum has a positive promotion and impact on scientific research, talent training and academic exchanges in Jilin Province, Northeast Normal University, and relevant universities and research institutes.
