Published:March 8, 2023 Review:

On March 3rd, the “Foreign Aid Academic Degree Education Project of the Department of Commerce-Opening Ceremony of the 2021 and 2022 Masters of Education Management of NENU” hosted by the Ministry of Commerce and undertaken by NENU was held both offline and online. Dong Piyi, the second-levelresearcher of Foreign Investment and Economic Cooperation Office of the Department of Commerce of Jilin Province, was invited to attend the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. Zhang Jingping, director of International Cooperation and Exchange Office, delivered a speech. Eighteen students from Grade 2021 and 21 students from Grade 2022 attended the opening ceremony.

On behalf of the Department of Commerce of Jilin Province, Dong Piyi congratulated the official opening of the academic degree program, which was the first offline opening ceremony held in three years since the epidemic, and welcomed all the students who attended the opening ceremony on the spot and online. She said that by studying in China, students will further enhance the friendship between China and other developing countries, and promote and expand cooperation among countries in the field of education.

Zhang Jingping said that Northeast Normal University has always attached great importance to China’s educational foreign aid work. So far, Northeast Normal University has organized more than 40 educational foreign aid projects and trained more than 1,200 senior education officials and teachers at different levels. On the basis of these projects, a brand-new interactive mode of talent training, school exchange and scientific research cooperation has been formed. It can be said that foreign aid for education has become a new feature of opening up and a new direction of educational internationalization.

Kumara and Hannah, two student representatives, said in their speeches that they are happy to be able to study in the classroom after a long period of online learning. They are eager for knowledge, so they will study hard to enhance their ability, increase their knowledge reserves, improve their governance ability and service level, serve the motherland and become messengers of cultural exchanges among countries.
