The national standard "GB/T 42730-2023 Human Factors Engineering - Static Work Posture Assessment" jointly drafted by NENU in collaboration with six units including the China National Institute of Standardization, was officially released by the State Administration for Market Regulation on August 6, 2023. It will be formally implemented on March 1, 2024. Professor Xu Hongqi from the School of Physics is the lead drafter of this standard.
Professor Xu Hongqi's research team has long been dedicated to the study of human factors in the interaction between individuals (athletes or fitness enthusiasts), machines (sports equipment), and the environment (sports environment).
This standard is based on the collective attention of the fields of sports human science and human factors engineering to human factors knowledge and theory. Furthermore, it serves as a basis for risk assessment and ergonomic standardization for preventing occupational musculoskeletal disorders. The National Technical Committee of Human Factors Engineering is responsible for the implementation of this standard.
