“International Views and Local Actions of Rural Education Rejuvenation”, an International Academic Seminar, hosted by China Institute of Rural Education Development, NENU, was held in Changchun from October 16 to 17. This seminar was held both online and offline, with 1 main forum and 3 sub forums. Professor Teng Xing, Person in Charge of Local Textbooks Collection and Research Center, Minzu University of China, Ma Xiaoyan, Deputy Secretary of the Party committee and Vice President of NENU, Baibing, Director of Social Science Department, NENU, Professor Wu Zhihui, Dean of China Institute of Rural Education Development, NENU, etc. attended this seminar.
29 reports at the main forums and 27 reports at the sub forums were conducted in this academic seminar, with over 10,000 participants. Scholars at home and abroad, e.g., who are from US, UK, Belgium, Russia, etc., launched a warm discussion around “International Views and Local Actions of Rural Education Rejuvenation”, which led to a positive response.
This seminar strongly showed “the process of promoting the world-class normal university construction” of NENU. Being geared to the future, NENU will persist in focusing on actual problems in China, continue to promote concept of “open education”, and strengthen “scientific research”, the core making institutions of higher learning strong, to make more brilliant contributions to education field.
