Recently, National Enviromental Protection Bureau assess organizations that apply for the qualification to assess the project of the enviromental effect. Institute of Enviromental Science Research in Northeast Normal University becomes one of the first qualified organizations.
The assessment aims at implementation of Enviromental Effect Assessment Laws of PRC on Sep 1st,2003 and improving the scientific nature and the general quality of Enviromental effect assessment so that technology can be better provided for authorized project staff and the service lecel will be improved. There are 92 qualified organizations in all in China during this assessment, among which there are 14 university directly under the Minstry of Education.
