Examination and appraisal of Jilin Province Scientific and Technological Planning Project for the year 2003 has drawn the curtain. So far 24 projects of our university have been ratified. The sponsorship totaled more than 1,800,000 RMB. Three of them were sponsored by the Research Plan of Prominent Youth of Jilin Province, and the sponsorship totaled 300,000 RMB; nine of them were sponsored by the Natural Scientific Foundation, with the funds of 415,000 RMB; three of them were Social Developing Projects, and the sponsorship totaled 430,000 RMB; two agricultural projects got the funds of 150,000 RMB; two Soft Scientific projects got the sponsorship of 40,000 RMB; one international cooperation project with the funds of 60,000 RMB; one modernization of Chinese Medicine project with the sponsorship of 200,000 RMB; three Anti-SARS projects with the sponsorship of 200,000 RMB. Compared with the similar projects approved last year, the ratified projects of this year increased obviously.
