From August 25 to 27, the expert group organized by Science and Technology Department under the Ministry of Education carried on appraisal to "the Vegetation Ecological Science Ministry of Education Key Laboratory". The expert group lead by Mr. He Yuntao and Professor Chen Jie, Shanghai Jiaotong University first heard reports then inspected the lab.
This laboratory takes the lawn and the wetland as the research characteristic and concerns both solving the basic research for application and the important scientific questions. In more than 3 years, based on the lab, 119 articles, and 5 academic works have been published domestically and abroad, 5 patens concerned have been applied and 7 prizes have been rewarded to NENU. The expert group gave the full affirmation to the lab and the vigorous support from school. The expert group finally produced high appraise "the laboratory’s comprehensive research level is in the lead at home and of great influence in the world". Meanwhile, they also proposed some constructive suggestions to the lab’s future development.
The Ministry of Education Key Laboratories are appraised every five years, and the final appraisal of Vegetation Ecological Science Ministry of Education Key Laboratory in NENU will not be given until all of the Key Labs in NENU have been appraised.
