The beginning ceremony of Research Classes for National Compulsory Education of African Countries, sponsored by Ministry of Commerce and undertaken by NENU, was held in NENU at 2 p.m. on Dec. 7th. About 20 officers from education administrations of ten African countries attended the ceremony, together with directors from Foreign Affairs Division of Education Department of Jilin Province and from NENU Office of International Cooperation and Exchange.
Zhang Zhiguo, vice-president of NENU, delivered a welcoming speech. He said, NENU has undertaken research classes about African education for three times since 2002 and has made great success. The theme of this year's seminar is "the Popularization and Development of National Compulsory Education in African Countries".
