With one Special Prize, one Second Prize and the Prize for Excellent Organizer, NENU did very well in the Dec 8th Jilin final contest of "New Era, New Songs"-- the third China Campus Singing Competition, organized by Jilin Youth League Committee and Students' Federation and undertaken by NENU League Committee and School of Music. Wang Xiaoguang, a student from School of Music of NENU, won the Special Prize for Professionals. Zhang Fan, from School of History and Culture, was the Second Prize winner for Amateurs, and NENU won the Excellent Organizer.
The contest, with the attendance of totaling 17 universities from Jilin Province, was held in commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the December 9th Movement and showing the charm of university students in this new era.
Wang Xiaoguang, as the only professional candidate of Jilin Province, will take part in the final of the third Campus Singing Competition of China to be held in Hunan University.
