A Christmas and New Year's Reception Held in NENU

Organized by Office of International Exchange and Cooperation, a Christmas and New Year reception was held on Dec. 23rd. Present at the gathering were President Shi Ningzhong, Vice-President Yang Zhong and heads of the School of Foreign Languages, the School of International Relations, the Preparatory School for Chinese Students to Japan (PSCSJ) and the Institute of Research in the History of Ancient World Civilization.

President Shi, (who gave a New Year's greeting), and Vice-President Yang gave awards to foreign experts and took photos with them. Representing the NENU's foreign experts, Todd Burdick from the School of Foreign Languages delivered a speech at the reception.

NENU has engaged 48 long-term foreign experts and 262 short-term visiting scholars in 2005. Four foreign experts have been awarded the title of Outstanding Foreign Expert of Jilin Province and four others Outstanding Foreign Expert of NENU.
