NENU has 13 academic projects worth 536,000 Yuan approved according to the newly released result of the 2005 Ministry of Education Grant for Social Science Planning Projects. The number of approved projects ranks the 14th in the country and the size of grant ranks the 13th.
Owing to the effective and efficient work of Office of Social Sciences, 21% of the 62 proposed projects have been approved despite fierce competition. Young candidates account for an overwhelming majority of the project applicants that were approved. This demonstrates the positive effect of NENU's grants for projects by its younger researchers.
