NENU's Professor Appointed to Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Sapporo Japan

After strict selection procedures organized by the Party Committee and the Ministry of Education of CPC, Professor Yuan Jiadong (from the School of Urban and Environmental Sciences) has been appointed by the Ministry of Education of the PRC to work in the Education Division under the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Sapporo Japan.

Prof. Yuan started teaching in NENU in 1982 and was promoted to professor in the Geography Department in Nov. 2003. Professor Yuan, whose academic interest is urban geography and city planning, studied for his Master's and Doctoral Degrees in Japan from 1989 to 1998.
