The grant approval process for 2006's Jilin Province "Eleventh Five-Year-Plan" for Philosophy and Social Science Projects has just come to a close. NENU had 30 project proposals approved, (a greater number than that last year), ranking 1st place for universities in Jilin Province.
Professor Chen Cai's project proposal was approved as the key project and 29 other proposals approved as general projects. Seven of the 29 are based on projects which have already received humanities and social science projects grants from NENU's young researcher program. Of the humanities and social science projects which are in NENU's young researcher program, 16 have been approved for provincial and national level grants. This highlights the positive effect of NENU's project grants for its young researchers.
NENU's performance in philosophy and social science projects has led to a good start to the "Eleventh Five-Year-Plan" period, and will promote philosophy and social science studies to a new level.
