Following 2004's funding for science and technology, the Administration Committee of Changchun's Jingyue Development Zone organized a new round of fund approval with the dual aims of: encouraging both public and private sector businesses within its administrative district to support scientific and technological innovation and of promoting the construction of hi-tech industries within the Jingyue Development Zone. According to the newly released results of the 2005 Funding Plan, 3 projects proposed by NENU researchers won financial support worth a total of 250,000 Yuan. The researchers are Prof. Su Zhongmin (from the School of Chemistry) who obtained 100,000 Yuan, Associate Prof. Lin Shanshan (from the School of Urban and Environmental Sciences) who obtained 100,000 Yuan and Prof. Wang Li (from the School of Life Science) whose project received 50,000 Yuan.
