Organized by the Ministry of Education and hosted by NENU, the "2006 China Mainland-Hong Kong College Students Winter Camp" commenced at NENU on the morning of Dec. 28th.
At the opening ceremony, the director of NENU's Office of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs extended his warm welcome to the HK delegates and introduced them to NENU's history, academic studies and campus life. The Hong Kong Institute of Education (HKIE) delegate expressed gratitude to NENU and enthusiasm for deepening the exchanges and friendship between the schools.
Accompanied by NENU's teachers and students, the 16 students from HKIE are going to visit our campuses, the First Automobile Workshop, Jingyuetan tourist resort, and the Puyi Palace. They are also going to Jilin City and Harbin to see tourist attractions such as frost, ice lanterns and snow sculptures that have special Northeastern characteristics. In addition, students from the two schools are also going to display their teaching skills and hold parties and performances.
The teachers and students from HKIE arrived on Dec. 27th. The winter camp will end on January 5th, 2006.
