Sponsored by the Kede College of Capital Normal University, and held by the College of Humanities and Sciences of NENU, the Teaching Materials Compiling Committee for China's Private Subsidiary Colleges held its 4th joint conference at NENU's Assembly Hall on January 11th. The meeting was attended by NENU's Vice President Yang Zhong and officials from the People's Education Press, Henan People's Publishing House, Capital Normal University Press, Higher Education Division of the Jilin Province Education Comission, the College of Humanities and Sciences of NENU, and representatives from over 20 private subsidiary colleges.
At the meeting Yang Zhong introduced NENU's historical and recent developments. It was discussed and decided which institutions would be responsible for; and which editors in chief would be in charge of compiling the second batch of textbooks. Forty one drafts of teaching materials were examined and discussed by all of the institutions that had applied for the right to compile the materials.
During the conference, the representatives toured the audio lab, computer room, electronic reading room and other teaching facilities in the College of Humanities and Sciences, and gave a high appraisal of the environment and facilities in this college.
