The United Front under the Changchun Municipal Party Committee held a conference on Feb.15th, 2006, to commend the advanced grass-level United Front work, the advanced units in publicizing information on the United Front work, and the advanced cadres working at basic-level in publicizing United Front work information. NENU was elected 2005 advanced unit in United Front work and advanced unit in publicizing information on United Front work. Ning Wenxiao was elected as the advanced individual in publicizing United Front work information.
In addition, Gu Yu, member of the provincial committee of CPPCC, Vice Chairman of China Association for Promoting Democracy NENU Branch, professor of School of Education Science was given the honorary title for his "dedication in participating in the deliberation and administration of state affairs".
