The 2005 Chinese Science & Technology Journal Citation Report and The Chinese Journal Citation Report did statistical analyses of the major parameters indexes of 1,608 science and technology journals and 4,250 journals respectively. The journals were categorized and ranked according to the indexes. JIF, total citations and Rate of Articles Supported by Funding are crucial parameters when evaluating a journal's utilization, importance, function, status and impact in academic exchanges. NENU's high ranking in these three parameters indicates a steady advancement in its academic quality. At the same time, it reflects the rapid development of NENU's academic level and capacity in scientific research.
