Invited by the Changchun Astronautic Exhibition, the first Chinese astronaut―Yang Liwei arrived in Changchun recently. At the airport, Yang kindly took a group photo with the representatives from the Junior Section of the High School Attached to NENU, and wrote an inscription of "future of the motherland, hope of the nation".
During his stay in Changchun, Yang cut the ribbon for the opening ceremony of Changchun Astronautic Exhibition. He went, afterward, to the Senior Section of the High School to participate in the Inauguration of the Aeronautical Modeling Laboratory of High School Attached to NENU. NENU's high school is home to the first experimental center for aeronautic and space technology for high school students to be set up by Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics. With that as a starting point, the school organized an aeronautical modeling club and constructed an aeronautical modeling lab.
After the inauguration, Yang visited the laboratory and gave the aeronautical modeling club these inspiring words: study hard, live your dreams, have both ability and integrity, and serve our country. The club members presented the astronaut with their club's pennant.
