Headed by the vice dean of Postgraduate School, a three-member-delegation of experts from Oumeirin University of Japan visited NENU. The delegation, after visiting the campus, examined and interviewed seven senior students selected by NENU to study in Oumeirin University. Being satisfied with the students, the experts promised to apply the two-year state fellowship (180 thousand yen per month) for the one top student, and provide the other students who have passed the examination with fellowship offered by Japanese Students Aid Organization of Independent Administrative Corporation.
The exchanges and cooperation between NENU and Oumeirin University of Japan can be traced to 1986 and a good relation has been kept since then.
