Flood Control Expert Prof. Cheng Xiaotao Gave a Lecture in NENU

Invited by College of Urban and Environmental Science, NENU, Prof. Cheng Xiaotao, doctoral supervisor and director of Department of Water Hazard Research, China Institute of Water Resources and Hydropower Research gave an academic report on "Flood Risk Management & Emergency Management" on March 9th. He is also vice director of Flood and Drought Disaster Research Center of Ministry of Water Resources, specialist of National Natural Disaster Reduction Committee, secretary general of Standing Committee of International Flood Defense Conference, and member of International Association of Hydraulic Research (IAHR).Prof. Cheng, who has studied in Japan and got his doctor degree of Engineering in Kyoto University, is an expert on flood risk management and emergency management.
