Recently, at the invitation of the Medieval World History Research Institute, Professor Karpov, (one of the leading historians in Russia, a world famous expert in Byzantine study, a communication academician of the Russian Academy of Science, and Dean of the History Department of Moscow University) and Professor Polovich (a world famous expert in clinometrics, a communication academician of the Russian Academy of Natural Science, and Vice Dean of the History Department of Moscow University) visited NENU, and gave a series of academic lectures on Byzantine culture and Russian industrialization.
