On the afternoon of March 24, the newly appointed directors of various functional departments had a meeting on the Jingyue campus. The participants included President Shi Ningzhong, Vice President Ma Shang, Dean of Graduate School Su Zhongmin, Standing Member of the Party Committee and Director of the Organization Department Li jin, Assistant President Gao Hang and personnel from Academic Affairs, Social Science Management, Personnel, Student Affairs, Employment Center, Student Loan and Funding Center, Finance Department, Security Office, and Youth League Committee.
At the meeting, President Shi Ningzhong expounded in detail about "one characteristic, three bests"――the goal of Jingyue campus' development and construction, and laid out plans for the future direction of and methods for the administration of the Jingyue campus. He emphasized that under the present management pattern, Jingyu campus' functional departments should, on one hand, be part of the school's administrative section keeping in close contact with the corresponding departments on the main campus; yet, one the other hand, be relatively independent through creatively management based on the campus' specific situation.
Vice President Ma Shang pointed out in his speech that for some time, NENU will be placing more emphasis on the administration of the Jingyue campus. For senior administrators', the working hours on the Jingyue campus have been increased to two days out of each week, and other administrators' working hours and concentration on the Jingyue campus have also been increased.
Li Jin introduced the new administrative system and organization on the Jingyue campus, and announced the school's decision on appointments. After this restructuring, the Jingyu campus has set up the following departments and units: Administration Office, Teaching and Discipline Construction Office, and Student Affairs and Security Office. These offices will be responsible for the work on teaching, scientific research, fostering discipline, faculty development, administration, logistics, financial management and students' education, management, employment and security.
