A ceremony was held to honor those who made great contributions to the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics by Changchun Municipal Committee of the CPC and Changchun People's Government on April 19th. And six teachers of NENU were entitled "Outstanding Contributors for the cause of socialism with Chinese Characteristics". Huang Baiqu, director of NENU's Institute of Cytology and Genetics Research, won the Prize for Scientific and Technological Contribution; the Prize for Teaching goes to Miao Qi, a super teacher in the High School affiliated to NENU, He Ping, president of the Experimental School affiliated, Yin Aiqing, director of School of Music, and Sun Hui, deputy director of School of Life Science; in addition, Wang Xingzhi, vice president of NENU's Overseas Chinese Association and professor of School of Life Science, was awarded Prize for Passion to the Motherland.
