On April 26, Liu Ji, (former Deputy Director of the National Sports Commission, one of the first Special Commissioners Appointed by the State Council, Director of Research Center for Contemporary China, and Director of China Exchange Center for Lecture Culture and Arts) came as a guest speaker to NENU's "High Level Forum on Ideology", and gave the lecture of "Strategic Thinking on Important Political and Economic Issues in Today's and Future China". The lecture touched upon six issues, including Strategic Thinking on China's Future 20-30 Years, Taiwan Issue, Three Representatives, Harmony and Diversity, Keeping Abreast of the Time, and Construction of Ruling Party's Administrative Ability.
In accordance with the requirements of the school's Party Committee, the Propaganda Department organized the "High Level Forum on Ideology". It aims to improve NENU's level and quality in the study of political theories, create new working methods, and enrich educational resources. The forum would invite well-known experts and scholars both home and abroad to give high-level lectures to the middle level and above administrators.
