Recently, relevant governmental departments commended NENU for its comprehensive measures for maintaining law and order, security work and civilian arm forces. Changchun Communist Party Committee and Changchun Municipal Government awarded NENU with the title of "2005's Model Unit for Public Security and Comprehensive Measures for Maintaining Law and Order"; Changchun Municipal Government awarded NENU with the title of "2005's Advanced Unit for the Work on Fire Precautions". In addition, NENU was awarded with the title of "2005's Advanced Unit in the Constructing of State Security and People’s Defense Line' by the Leading Group for State Security Work of Changchun City; "2005's Grade A Security Organization of Changchun Culture & Security System" by Changchun Public Security Bureau; "Advanced Unit for Military-Civilian Co-construction" by Changchun Military Subarea Command, and "2005's Advanced Unit for People's Militia Work" by Nanguan District People's Armed Forces Department.
