Professor Zheng Derong, an expert on CPC history, director of the Mao Zedong Thought Research School of NENU and a doctoral supervisor, has embarked on his teaching career for 55 years. The School of Politics and Law organized an academic seminar on Professor Zheng's Teaching Career in the library, May 3rd.
At the seminar, Gong Ke, Undersecretary from Publicity Department of Jilin CPC Committee; Professor Bing Zheng, Party Secretary and dean of Social Science Academy of Jilin Province, and Professor Sheng Lianxi, Secretary of the Party Committee, gave their speeches respectively and highly praised the academic and educational achievements by Professor Zheng Derong. Organizations, including School of Chinese Communist history, and School of Modern History from Social Science Academy, etc. and scholars like Pang Xianzhi, member of NPC and former director of CPC Literature Research Center, and Gong Yuzhi, President of Society for Study of CPC History and member of National Committee, all sent congratulation letters and telegraphs.
Professor Zheng Derong also delivered a speech on his academic career. Through studying party leaders of three generations and his own teaching experience, he summed up his academic spirit as: diligence, perseverance, preciseness and creativity. He also put forward his understandings of learning concept, learning spirit, learning attitude and learning method. He expressed that he will continue to work as hard as before and will never stop striving in his late years.
Four students on doctoral and master programs supervised by Professor Zheng also spoke at the seminar.
