On May 15th, on Jingyue Campus, the Sixth "Ambition and Success" lecture group gave their first series of lectures. Sheng Lianxi, Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice President Ma Shang, and people from relevant administrative offices, and departments attended the lecture. More than 300 students from various departments heard about the impressive achievements of the 7 members of the group.
The 10 members of the Sixth "Ambition and Success"lecture group were selected from a large number of candidates. The members are Zhu Xingtao from the School of Politics and Law, Meng Nan from the School of Mathematics and Statistics, Cao Jingquan from the School of Business, Bao Lei from the School of Media, Chen Xianling from the School of Literature, and Bai Lu from the School of Music.
"Ambition and Success" Lecture Group is an educational activity, which probes into the political and ideological education of university students, and guides students towards self-education, self-management, and self-reliance. Since 1997, six "Ambition and Success" lecture groups have been formed, with a total of 41 students from various departments. The groups have organized 110 lecture conferences. More than 26,000 students have listened to the lectures live and on video.
After the lectures, Sheng Lianxi and Ma Shang awarded certificates of honor to these 7 members. The members of the group will be on a lecture tour, giving lectures to different audiences.
