On May 24th, the final competition of the 2nd Annual Contest of Teachers' Basic Teaching Skills, which is jointly hosted by the Publicity Department of the Party Committee, NENU's Academic Office, and Teachers' Union, was held in the Hall of School of Foreign Languages on the main campus of NENU. The fierce competition among the ten young contestants drew lots of audience. Liu Yongbing, deputy director of Jilin Provincial Education Department and leaders from NENU also attended the competition.
In the contest, all the competitors aptly demonstrated their teaching techniques within the required twenty minutes. The First Prize of the contest went to Zhou Yazhou from School of Physics and Du Xingdong from School of Chinese Language and Literature; the Second Prize to Li Xiaoxue, Wang Zhe, and Zhang Xiaoyang respectively from School of Life Sciences, School of Foreign Languages, and School of Politics and Laws; five competitors won the Third Prize and eleven teachers got the Excellent Prize. In addition, School of Foreign Languages and School of Physics were the winners of Best Organizer.
