The closing ceremony of the 2nd Contest of Teachers' Basic Teaching Skills witnessed the Award Ceremony of 2001-2004 State/Provincial Teaching Award and 2005 Outstanding Teacher/Student Prize under Baogang Education Foundation, which was presided by Vice President Yang Zhong. Leaders including Deputy Director Liu Yongbin from Jilin Education Department, NENU's Sheng Lianxi, Shi Ningzhong, Xue Kang, Ma Shang, Liu Haimin and Zhao Ying attended the ceremony and awarded the winners.
The State Teaching Award and Jilin Teaching Award are held respectively every four years. After selecting 20 items awarded the school's teaching prizes, NENU was recommended to enter for the review of 2001-2004 State/Provincial Teaching Award. Totally, NENU has one State Teaching Award and two Special Prizes, four First Prizes, three Second Prizes, and six Third Prizes in the 2001-2004 Jilin Provincial Teaching Award.
