On May 25, a group of three people from Japan's Miyagi University of Education paid a friendly visit to NENU. The representatives were headed by Miyagi's President. NENU's President Shi Ningzhong met the guests, and on NENU's Life Square the two Presidents planted an evergreen tree to symbolize the friendship between the two schools.
During the visit, the President donated 500,000 Japanese yen to NENU on behalf of Miyagi University, and gave a lecture to the students from the School of Foreign Languages.
NENU established its friendly relationship with Miyagi University in October of 1985. In the past 20 years, both schools have made significant achievements in the areas of scientific research and the exchange of teachers and students. This visit will further extend the range of the two universities' cooperation and exchange in the future.
