NENU held its 2006 seminar on postgraduate program administration in Jilin City from June 10th to 11th. Su Zhongmin, Dean of NENU’s Postgraduate School, explained the aim and significance of the seminar, which was attended by more than fifty people including the coordinators and supervisors of the various postgraduate programs as well as the staff from the School of Postgraduates.
The seminar was divided into two sessions, one for postgraduate coordinators and the other on ethical standards for postgraduate students. The coordinators discussed and shared their ideas on issues such as the enrollment of postgraduates, the administration of online education, theses defenses, etc. In addition, the postgraduate supervisors reflected on their roles and spoke out on issues such as the development of their team, their working goals and discussed their compensation package.
