
Three of the first graduates from the Northeast University, NENU's predecessor, were invited back to NENU for informal discussion by NENU's Alumni Association and the Archives Museum. The three alumni, Zhang Liguo, Li De'en, and Liu Xirong were visited by Sheng Lianxi, general secretary of the Party Committee, and were asked to help NENU collect more information about its history.
During the informal talk, the alumni recalled their campus lives and stories about their schoolmates and leaders. Besides, they showed their concern about the preparation for NENU's Anniversary and the compiling of NENU's history.
They also visited NENU's former site in Benxi as well as the Jingyue Campus and NENU's History Museum.
Of the three alumni, all graduated from College of Natural Sciences, the Northeast University,Zhang Liguo had been a professor in Qingdao University, Li De'en once was the president of Heilongjiang University of Chinese Medicine, while Liu Xirong was vice dean of Shangxi Institute of Coal.
