Recently, two pieces of Social Science research from NENU were selected for inclusion in the Chinese Academic Yearbook of 2005. The two papers are "Elementary Education in China's Countryside: Issues, Trends and Policy" (written by Prof. Shi Ningzhong and Prof. Liu Haimin and originally published in the 6th issue of "Analysis of Education" 2005), and "Balancing the Development of Elementary Education in the Era of Globalization" (written by Prof. Sun Qilin and Kong Kai and originally published in the 12th issue of "Analysis of Comparative Education" 2005).
So far, the Chinese Academic Yearbook of 2005 has selected three works by NENU's researchers. In addition to these two papers, Prof. Liu Jianjun's book "Christian Cultures and Western Literature Traditions" (Pecking University Press, 2005), was also selected. These recognitions signify the continuing improvement in the level and quality of NENU's research in the field of Social Science.
The Chinese Academic Yearbook is a state-level multi-disciplinary yearbook which represents an authoritative and comprehensive collection of academic research. Its selection process is an advanced and systematic evaluation system for academic texts. Every year, the Yearbook introduces new developments in 28 major and more than 100 secondary academic disciplines, covering every field in the humanities and social sciences.
