The 2006 China seminar on grassland ecology was held in NENU from July 1st to 3rd. The seminar was attended by Hong Fuzeng, member of the national standing committee of CPPCC and former vice minister of the Ministry of Agriculture, Zhang Zhishan, Director of Grassland Department of Animal Science and Vet Bureau, over 100 experts and young scholars from 38 universities and research institutes. NENU's vice president Xue Kang delivered a welcome speech.
At the seminar, the participants discussed and exchanged their opinions on the topic of Grassland Ecology and the sustainable development of grass industry.
In addition, they visited NENU's Research Station of Song-Nen Grassland Ecology in Changling County and spoke highly of NENU's achievement in grassland ecology research.
