On July 12, NENU held the opening ceremony for the Cross-Strait University Summer Camp of 2006 in the Administrative Building's conference room. Among those who attended the ceremony are Yang Zhong, Vice President of NENU, Liu Jianfeng, Head of the Ministry of Education's Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office, Wang Zhongren, Director of Jilin Provincial Taiwan Affairs Office, He Jun, Deputy Director of Jilin Provincial Taiwan Affairs Office, and relevant personnel from the Jilin Provincial Education Department's Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office, NENU's Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office, and the Youth Committee.
The Summer Camp will cover such activities as attending lectures on traditional culture, visiting NENU's two campuses and places of interest of Changchun, holding speech contest and sports activities, etc.
