The forum, held in Shanghai from July 12th to 18th, was attended by 123 Chinese university presidents from key universities under the Ministry of Education and six universities in Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, as well as fifteen presidents from world famous universities including Yale University, Cambridge University, Free University of Berlin, the Australian National University and Sweden Royal Institute of Technology. Nineteen important speeches and 15 face-to-face exchanges were made around the theme of "University Innovation and Service". The chief forum on July 16th was hosted by President Shi Ningzhong.
